Isbell was 2017.

Haven’t heard most of those others but will check them out.

#3

Oh damn, looks like another edit. using my mind is always a bad option.

#4

I love that you have musgraves on there

She’s awesome

#5

I tried to like her album, I really did.
We gave it two full attention honest listens, and though I think her voice is really great, her lyrics are just weak. Her husband is good though. She should have him write songs for her to sing.

#6

Rolling Stones - Beggar’s Banquet 50th Anniversary Edition

#7

I felt the same way. Gave it a couple solid listens, just wasn’t into it lyrically.

#8

Keeping it real straightforward:

Gregory Alan Isakov - Evening Machines
Gia Margaret - There’s Always Glimmer
Dave Matthews Band - Come Tomorrow (<3 balv)
Moby - Everything Was Beautiful, and Nothing Hurt
Lina Tullgren - Won (late 2017, whatever)
Amen Dunes - Freedom
Pusha T - Daytona
Iron & Wine - Weed Garden (EP)
The Carters - Everything Is Love
Jeff Tweedy - WARM
Tallest Man On Earth - When The Bird Sees The Solid Ground (EP)

#9

Your number 10 is my number 1, still need to hear that Tweedy album. I’m afraid I’ve listened more to reissues than actual new releases this year, loved Bob Seger and the Last heard (Heavy Music) and that Bobby gentry reissue is pretty sweet too.

#10

well, f*** me for not knowing this, but her husband is Ruston Kelly?

#11

that new ben larsen is on here for me.

GAI
isbell at the ryman
wheeler walker jr (new single “fuck you w/ the lights on” is key)
A star is born (OST)
ruston kelly
garth brooks triple live
nathaniel rateliff
brandi carlile

and, even though i’ve only heard the bootleg versions…

Bruce is releasing his Broadway performance next week…so that is definitely on my list for 2018

#12

Yup, Ruston Kelly. I first heard him because he opened for Isbell a year or two ago and I thought he was good. I like his album that came out this year too.

#13

Gregory Alan Isakov - Evening Machines
Daniel Blumberg - Minus
Father John Misty - God’s Favourite Customer
Chilly Gonzales - Solo Piano III

If anybody hasn’t heard any of these and wants to, let me know and I’ll put it in the box.

#14

gonna tack on John Craigie’s new one as well; Scarecrow

check him out guys.

#15

Tree of Forgiveness is my best of the year.

So glad to see John Prine finally getting some recognition for being one of the greatest living songwriters.

…because its about music. Not how pretty you are, how much money you have to hire the best dancers, or how good your video is.
