Always the teacher…

Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane posted this. If you ever get to Athens Ohio go to Fur Peace and go see his original psychodelic music flyer collection from the Haight Ashbury scene. They are mind blowing. Great venue, good tea. Jorma is a wonderful host.

First concert - Queen, when I was 12.

Last Concert - Noam Pikelny and Stuart Duncan

Next Concert - Willie Watson

Most Exciting - Kathleen Edwards

Worst Concert - James McMurtry. I’ve walked out of two of his shows.

Who have you seen the most - Springsteen. Although not for over a decade now.

Worst Venue - Pepsi Ice Center in Bloomington, IL. Saw Dylan there. Echoey, terrible sound.

Who have you not seen but would like to - Jamie Lin Wilson

Wow, I saw McMurtry solo acoustic in a great tiny theater and it was awesome.

#383

Not sure what it was about him. Each time he had a bassist and a drummer with him. Every song sounded the same.

#384

you would have loved bruce on the river tour in 2016
fuckin awesome.

#385

I try to avoid large venues as much as possible these days. I also find Springsteen’s ticket prices obscene.

This will always be my favorite Springsteen show:

#386

But I bet the River tour was good.

#387

I missed a chance to see Bruce and the E-street band on the Darkness tour here in Kalamazoo in 1978 at Wings stadium. I still regret not going to that show, even though I hate that venue.

I’m floppin’

Can’t wait to get together with my boys
In the Bergatorium to make some noise

We’ll eat like kings and have a few
Maybe a smokey treat or two

#389

Oh boy! Have fun!

I am in the middle of ‘There is a light that never goes out’ (book). This one may be next, if it’s in US in paperback. Will check.

#392

You sir are legend. Robert Smith’s response is wonderful.

#393

It’s amazing.

#394

Has anyone ever noticed the musical similarities between Ten Years After ‘Positive Vibrations’ and Pink Floyd ‘Pigs’? TYA was '74, PF was '77.

#395

And the TYA sounds a bit like Hendrix ‘Little Wing’ from '67.

#396

All three are great songs.

Even if they’re the same one.

#397

This makes me nervous.

I suppose if this happens I’ll have to get some other music handling app, but I don’t really want to lose all my playlists.

#398

i fucking love itunes.
who the hell is bitching about it?

it’s so damn easy to use
