Picture of the day!

Ha! That’s great! Where did you get that, LB? Has NC seen it?
I’m going to send it to NC, if you don’t mind.

Neal posted it on Instagram. That’s how I saw it. :yum:

Ha! Then no use sending it to him!
Thanks though! I’m going to send him some pictures of plum blossoms instead.
It’s the season for them now and he hasn’t visited for so long…
And I can also tell him how cute he was back in high school.

It says middle school on the picture.
He looks old for middle school!!

It does say middle school! I skipped over that part and just saw the 1983.
And in 1983 he was 15 years old. I was in high school when I was 15…

Me too. But at that time where I lived 9th grade was in middle school/junior high.

But LB, you’re way younger than us!
He went to school in NJ and you’re from there too, right?
Maybe your school system was like his also.
Mine was 9th to12th grades were considered high school.

I didn’t live in NJ until I was 30. I lived in MD until then and in 1983 9th grade was in junior high.

But by the time I got to high school ninth grade was in high school.

Neal is adorable as expected.

Gotcha. For me though, in 1979 I was in 9th grade and a freshman in high school.
My school system was based on a French school system so maybe that had something to do with it? I don’t know. :woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging:

Too bad he’s too busy to come to Japan. He never made it to Hawaii, either…

Ooh la la. :dancer:

Funeral flowers from 1959.

Mongolian Queen Photo by Terry Allen National Geographic

DIdn’t Billy Ocean have a song about her?

I think that was actually Caribou Queen?

I’m curious.
Did you take the picture?
Is this a random picture you found on the internet?

I took the picture on my phone.

They were saved in a memorial book from my great uncle’s funeral back in 1959. These roses were pressed in the pages of that book. I did mess with the levels and bumped up the color a little bit.

Pretty cool.
