i LOVE the last two especially

fuck that vulture! he scares me.

#83

I visit that vulture and his volt often. At least a few times a year. They’ve gotten used to me.

#84

I love the vulture. There’s a sweetness in his eyes.

#85

He’s the ugliest of the three that live in this barn but I can get right up close to him. That’s how uggos are, I guess.

When my oldest daughter was three we went on a nature walk and came upon a vulture in a tree. I stopped and pointed it out and said “look do you see the vulture up there”. She saw it, and was a little concerned as we continued our walk. When we were heading back to the trail head again she stopped in her tracks and said to me “Is that watcher gone?”

Vultures have been called watchers in our family ever since.

Monkey, what/who is this?
What I mean is, is it someone you know or is it a random, like an actor or a model?

#88

It’s a close up of a drag queen that was sitting in the audience of a burlesque show.

#89

I thought it was something like that!

Love it!!

#90

Naturally :stuck_out_tongue:

#91

Thanks for doing the heavy lifting for us.

That seedy underbelly isn’t going to photograph itself!

#92

She was very shiny.

#93

So, a selfie, then?

#94

More of my somber style. I love shooting this time of year.

Yeah, I’m really seeing my work has gotten darker but I think it’s lovely in a way. I also see myself stuck in a pictorial rutt stylistically speaking.

But I have a project coming up that I am hoping will change my focus and attitude some.
