Why I am only hearing about this now?

#1327

When is it from?

Anyone have recs for albums from this year they love??

I’ll be in the car for 10 hours tomorrow.

Thanks!

Spinning the Truth Around by Blue October & Chimes at Midnight by Madrugada. Both are pop but extremely elevated IMHO.

#1335

If you like Surfer Rosa, the new Pixies is an unexpected return to form, like Dinosaur Jr with Beyond.

#1336

Amanda Shires, Take It Like a Man
Steve Earle, Jerry Jeff
Molly Tuttle, Crooked Tree
Brennen Leigh, Obsessed with the West
The Grand Southern, Don’t Say Anything

#1337

Wet Leg self-titled.

#1338

The new Beth Orton is her best album in over 20 years. It is sublime. I also love the new album Endure by Special Interest. Oh and Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar.

#1340

I really like Native Sons by Los Lobos and Cruel Country by Wilco.

The new album from Robert De Leo (bassist in Stone Temple Pilots), Lessons Learned, might be my favorite album of the year. This one in particular is amazing:
