Spinning the Truth Around by Blue October & Chimes at Midnight by Madrugada. Both are pop but extremely elevated IMHO.


If you like Surfer Rosa, the new Pixies is an unexpected return to form, like Dinosaur Jr with Beyond.

The new Beth Orton is her best album in over 20 years. It is sublime. I also love the new album Endure by Special Interest. Oh and Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar.


I really like Native Sons by Los Lobos and Cruel Country by Wilco.
