I’ve been listening to Mermaid Ave. Vol. 2 quite a bit lately.

I used to get up early in the morning and lift weights with my neighbor and he would play a lot of “Priest”.

Lucky
Radiohead
I’m on a roll
I’m on a roll this time
I feel my luck could change
Kill me, Sarah
Kill me again with love
It’s gonna be a glorious day
Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the lake
’Cause I’m your superhero
We are standing on the edge
The head of state has called for me by name
But I don’t have time for him
It’s gonna be a glorious day
I feel my luck could change
Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the lake
’Cause I’m your superhero
We are standing on the edge
We are standing on the edge

There was an underground radio station in our town back in the early '70’s and the DJ played Street Fighting Man 17 times in a row… Then he played Chestnut Mare by the Byrds four or five times in a row. He then went back and played Street Fighting Man another couple times before coming on the air and explaining he “was in a mood”.

I loved that old underground station.

Sounds like I would have loved it , too!
I love the mono version of Street Fighting Man, I could listen to it over and over and over again…

love that jam, uv !!

Me, too! It’s so sexy!
I was lucky enough to see them play it live at the Budokan in 2003.
It wasn’t Mick Taylor but it was still magical being able to see them play one of my favorite songs!

Here’s what Mick Taylor had to say about the jam:
“Can’t You Hear Me Knocking is one of my favorites. (The jam at the end) just happened by accident; that was never planned. Towards the end of the song I just felt like carrying on playing. Everybody was putting their instruments down, but the tape was still rolling and it sounded good, so everybody quickly picked up their instruments again and carried on playing. It just happened, and it was a one-take thing. A lot of people seem to really like that part.”

Love your new picture, btw!
