The Movie Thread

#707

Watched this last night. Wasn’t expecting much but it turned out to be a lot of fun.
SLJ looked great with hair and Christoph Waltz did his usual sinister bad guy thing again.

#708

Fun! In a Indy Jones kind of way.

In honor of Katherine Johnson’s 100th birthday we’re watching this again tonight:

#712

saw this and loved it

#713

Right?! I loved it, too.
I was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was.
I’m going to watch it again but I’m waiting for the DVD version to come out.
It’s supposed to have the deleted scenes added to it, which is supposed to make it even better.
I can’t wait!

how or why on earth did this star wars movie basically go unrecognized …i saw ryan adams talk about it a million times…but that was about it

#716

Why is Star Wars so ignored in our society!!!

#717

i’m not a stars wars guy. more of a star trek guy

but the last 2 have been outstanding movie experiences.

#718

I wondered the same thing so I asked someone who’s a Star Wars fan and he said that it was probably because it wasn’t “dark” enough for some of the die-hard fans.

But then again you have someone like RA & my friend who are die-hards and they liked it. :woman_shrugging:

Maybe it came out too soon after Infinity War.

#719

Watched this last night. Been a while since I first saw it so it was like watching it for the first time again. Fun!

Oh, come on!
It’s silly but it’s still fun with all the dancing and stuff!
And visually, it was pretty!

ETA:

And after a week of Jack Ryan, it was nice to watch something silly like Moulin Rouge.

#722

Felt like Rip Taylor was giving me a lap dance.

Not a fan.

#723

moulin rouge is a huge pile of shit!

#724

Yeah, me neither.
But it was still ok just to pass the time.
Would I watch it again?
No.

#725

Yes! I agree with you 100%! :kissing_heart:
But it was a nice respite from the testosterone-fueled movies/tv shows.

Maybe watching it with some LSD would have made it better for you, Rodknee. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

We watched this last night.
Another movie without any car chases, terrorist attacks, punching, kicking, screaming, stabbing, shooting…

Julie Walters

#726

i was just giving you shit.

i’ve never seen moulin rouge and never will. no LSD for me!
