Billy Corgan’s Cotillions album just came out, and this is an early favorite:

I saw Beck last night on Kimmel performing Uneventful Days from his new album. Pretty good song, but the production of that clip with him and a band performing while the set was manipulated and moving around him was really technically impressive. It was like being in the middle of a real-time video shoot.

Tyler, The Creator - Igor

#2323

I dig Tyler The Creator.

#2324

I don’t know how I feel about this. I get a big Yim Yames, Bon Iver, M. Ward vibe but I don’t know. I’ll give the tracks another listen tomorrow.

#2325

Me too.

I think I like it. But I don’t know why.

I like it better than Bon Iver

#2326

Just got exposed to this.

#2327

interesting. I’m in the same boat after listening to a few tracks in the sense that I like it, but not really sure why. It’s good background music. I still prefer Bon Iver, however.

#2328

I’m surprised you haven’t heard these guys before.

#2329

Me too. Sometimes I fail.

#2330

You didn’t fail. We failed you.

I was lost in the lakes
And the shapes that your body makes
That your body makes, that your body makes
That your body makes
The mountains said I could find you here
They whispered the snow and the leaves in my ear
I traced my finger along your trails
Your body was the map, I was lost in it
Floating over your rocky spine
The glaciers made you, and now you’re mine
Floating over your rocky spine
The glaciers made you, and now you’re mine
I was moving across your frozen veneer
The sky was dark but you were clear
Could you feel my footsteps
And would you shatter, would you shatter, would you
And with your soft fingers between my claws
Like purity against resolve
I could tell, then and there, that we were formed from the clay
And came from the rocks for the earth to display
They told me to be careful up there
Where the wind blows a venomous rage through your hair
They told me to be careful up there
Where the wind rages through your hair
