What was the best concert you attended this year?

Mine was either Greensky Bluegrass on their Thanksgiving homecoming run, or Lucinda Williams.

Both at the State Theater in Kalamazoo.

Mine was Goose in Kansas City in October.

Next best would be My Morning Jacket in Louisville in November. Or Joe Russo’s Almost Dead in April.

But I still have two more Goose shows tonight and tomorrow night…so anything’s possible. :blush:

Not been to a single show this year.

BaHOOTenzie Festival was transcendental so that’s #1.

After that Courtney Barnett followed closely by MMJ.

Jason Isbell playing an acoustic show with Amanda Shires and Sadler Vaden in New Brunswick. Or else the last show of the Amanda Shires tour in a cocktail lounge in Omaha. It’s a tie. I saw a lot of shows this year, but these two were by far the best.

While Norah Jones in Richmond, VA (outside venue) was really great, I think Ray LaMontagne was my favorite – the Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD is a beautiful venue. Glad I live within an hour, I’m sure I’ll make it back there so many more times in the future.

This January will be special – Gregory Alan Isakov at the Baltimore Soundstage. Can’t wait for that!

Goose was fantastic last night. I can’t imagine how they’re going to top it for NYE, but I know they will!!!

Sunny Day Real Estate reunion show I saw in Sept. was amazing. It was the first official date of the tour here in Lawrence, KS and they sounded so tight. Plus I’d been waiting to hear some of these songs live for 20 years or more so there’s that.
